Each unit offers a private balcony, perfect for enjoying the tropical views. With public beach access nearby, you can easily soak up the sun or take a swim. The property is secured, ensuring peace of mind during your stay. Ideal for travellers seeking a serene, yet conveniently located retreat!

Enjoy the bright, 3pc bathroom, with plenty of storage space, and complete with a walk-in shower. The fully equipped kitchen includes a propane stove, microwave, coffee machine, fresh drinking water and a large dining table with seating for guests.
Unwind in the inviting living room with a smart TV where you can access your personal accounts (Netflix, etc), or step out onto your private deck to lounge on the couch, dine at the table, or relax on the hammock surrounded by lush gardens and towering trees.

Nestled along the northwest coast of Roatán, West End is a vibrant village that offers an unforgettable mix of local charm, shopping, dining, and adventure. Known for having some of the best shopping on the island, West End is also home to Roatán’s lively nightlife, numerous dive shops, and an impressive selection of restaurants. With a single road that skirts the coastline, you're always just steps away from the Caribbean Sea on one side and a bustling array of eateries and boutiques on the other.
Early mornings see fishermen setting out from the calm waters of this sheltered cove, while dive shops come alive, offering world-class diving & snorkeling experiences. As the day progresses and water activities slow, the village transforms into a hub of activity. Restaurants fill up, and the nightlife scene kicks off with live music, bar hopping, and laughter.
The protected waters of West End are crystal clear and almost completely wave-free, making it a perfect spot for snorkeling, kids playing in the shallow water, or simply floating in the sun. Half Moon Bay, the crown jewel of West End, offers stunning sunsets that light up the sky in a breathtaking display of colour.
In addition to its natural beauty, West End is the most pedestrian-friendly village on Roatán, ideal for strolling along the waterfront, socializing with friends, or hopping on a water taxi for a quick 10-minute ride to nearby West Bay. Meet Your Hosts: Barb & Jay
As Canadian travellers, we first visited Roatán in 2008 and were captivated by the island’s charm. Since then, we’ve returned every year, drawn to its warm-hearted people, vibrant culture, and world-class diving. Roatán’s sense of adventure and natural beauty perfectly matched our love for the outdoors.
Over the years, we’ve experienced the island in many ways, from all-inclusive resorts to private home stays. Eventually, we found our home away from home in West End, our favourite part of Roatán.
Jay has always dreamed of island life and found his paradise here. A passionate diver and certified instructor with both PADI and SSI credentials, Roatán offers everything he could want.
Barb, also embracing the island lifestyle, is an OW-certified diver who loves spending time in the water when she’s not busy with walks, managing their Canadian business, or welcoming guests to their vacation rental.
Together, we’ve gained extensive knowledge of Roatán and all that is has to offer. We’re well-connected within the community, ensuring our guests have everything they need for an unforgettable experience.

Reaching the tropical Caribbean island of Roatán is easier than you may think! There are multiple options for direct international flights, several domestic flight options, and plenty of ways to get to Roatán by sea.
Let’s break down all the ways you can get to Roatán for that much-needed vacation!
Where is Roatán?
Roatán is an island located off the northern coast of Honduras in Central America. It is the largest of the Bay Islands and is often called the Gem of the Caribbean for its stunning green rolling hills surrounded by turquoise Caribbean Sea.
Flights to Roatán
Roatán can be reached by any of a variety of direct international flights. The airport in Roatán, the Juan Manuel Galvez International Airport (code RTB), receives flights throughout the year from both domestic and international airlines.
Flying direct from the U.S, you can use:
American Airlines out of Dallas or Miami
Delta Airlines out of Atlanta
United Airlines out of Houston
Most West Coast airports will send you via Houston, or you can take advantage of the Avianca Airlines hub of San Salvador airport (in El Salvador); from there you can fly to Roatan in less than an hour on daily flights.
Flying from Canada, you can:
Fly directly from Toronto or Montreal on West Jet Airlines during the winter.
Direct service is usually offered from late December through April.
To fly to Roatán from other points in Central America (outside of Honduras), you can use Tropic Air direct from Belize City, in addition to Avianca Airlines coming from San Salvador. San Salvador serves as a major hub for the region, so you’ll find many flights coming from elsewhere in Central America, as well as South America, flying through there en route to Roatán.
Once you arrive at the airport, we can arrange for pick-up to bring you to the apartment with a stop at the grocery store on the way!
